Readiness and Implementation Team

Empowering Organisations for the NHS PeoplePortal Solution

The Readiness & Implementation (R&I) team plays a central role in helping NHS organisations prepare for and successfully adopt the NHS PeoplePortal Solution.

We provide the strategic regional connection between NHS organisations, the NHS PeoplePortal Transformation Programme and its delivery partners. Our Senior Implementation Leads (SILs) provide strategic leadership across their regions, building strong relationships with NHS organisations and ensuring their priorities, risks, dependencies and readiness are understood by the Programme.

As organisations move towards implementation of NHS PeoplePortal, the R&I team will provide the guidance, coordination and implementation expertise needed to help organisations understand their responsibilities, assess readiness and prepare effectively for the transition.

We work closely with Programme teams and delivery partners to ensure organisations have access to the right information, expertise and support at the right time. We also continue to support organisations in maintaining and optimising their use of the ESR Service while preparing for the future.

Building Strong Engagement and Collaboration

R&I provides an important connection across the NHS, bringing organisations, regions, Programme teams and delivery partners together through structured engagement, governance and opportunities for shared learning.

Our regional approach ensures organisations have a clear and consistent connection into the Programme, while recognising different local circumstances and levels of readiness. We help organisations understand Programme developments, raise issues and risks, share learning and access the appropriate support.

The team also works across the Programme to identify and manage external dependencies that could affect organisational readiness and implementation. By connecting the right people and ensuring issues are understood and appropriately escalated, R&I helps maintain alignment across the wider system.

We work alongside the Supplier and other delivery partners to support a coordinated approach to engagement and implementation, while retaining clear accountability for the respective responsibilities of the Programme, Supplier and NHS organisations.

Find Your Regional Team

Your regional R&I team is your strategic connection into the NHS PeoplePortal Transformation Programme.

Your Senior Implementation Lead is there to help you understand what is happening across the Programme, connect you with the right expertise and ensure your organisation's priorities, risks and readiness considerations are understood.

As your organisation progresses towards implementation, the wider R&I team will provide the appropriate readiness and implementation support to help you prepare, navigate the transition and successfully adopt the NHS PeoplePortal.

Whether you are continuing to optimise ESR or preparing for the transition to the NHS PeoplePortal Solution, your regional team is here to help you navigate the journey.
